The Precioso is a precious reserve of pinot noir selected from the most outstanding barrels that highlight the attributes of the 2021 vintage. 50% New French oak.
The 2022 Keller Estate Precioso Pinot Noir has a beautiful floral nose with hints of hibiscus and lavender. The mouth reveals a fruit-forward palate with black cherry, black currants, and cranberry. The aromas of baking spices mingle nicely with the fruit but stay in the background to support the fruit without interfering with it. There is a creamy core from the malolactic fermentation which presents as a sweet, balancing and lengthening the palate. The tannin structure is supple and provides a framework for the fruit to carry across the mid-palate and into the finish. This is a well-constructed wine and will age gracefully over the next decade. Drink it in its youth to know its fruit character. Drink it in five and ten years to see how it evolves over time.
