Celebrating Our Organic Certification Milestone

The 2025 season has been fascinating. We've experienced a refreshingly cool summer, which promises to deliver an exceptional harvest with beautiful flavor development and natural acidity retention. However, the early morning fog that contributes to our region's character has also brought challenges with mildew pressure - a common trade-off in our coastal climate. Through it all, we're thrilled to announce that we've officially completed our organic certification!

We've been farming organically for four years, but getting certified required proving it through rigorous documentation. The certification process involves four years of detailed record-keeping - every vineyard decision gets tracked and verified by third-party inspectors who examine our practices to ensure we meet strict organic standards. It's thorough and demanding, but worth it.

We've had to get creative with our farming approach, using cover crops to naturally build soil health and suppress weeds, while our sheep handle both fertilizing and mowing.

It's more preventative and holistic, requiring a deeper understanding of vineyard ecology. This certification isn't just a piece of paper; it's our way of showing transparency and proving that we walk the walk when it comes to doing right by the land and making wines we feel proud of.
