26 Years: Farmed with Purpose
The 2025 season gave us a Cool Summer
The kind that promises exceptional flavor development and natural acidity retention, along with the early morning fog that defines this region's character. That same fog brought its usual trade-off: mildew pressure, a challenge every coastal vineyard learns to live with. Through all of it, we reached a milestone we've been working toward for years. We're officially certified organic.
Four Years, Documented
We've farmed organically since 2022. Getting certified meant proving it. The process required four years of detailed record-keeping — every vineyard decision tracked and verified by third-party inspectors examining our practices against strict organic standards. It's thorough. It's demanding. It was worth it.
What It Looks Like in the Vineyard
No synthetic pesticides. No synthetic herbicides. No synthetic fertilizers. In their place: cover crops that build soil health and suppress weeds naturally, and a flock of sheep that handle both the fertilizing and the mowing. It's a more preventative, more holistic approach — one that asks for a deeper understanding of vineyard ecology than the shortcuts would.
Why It Matters Beyond the Paperwork
This certification isn't just a piece of paper. It's transparency. It's proof that we walk the walk when it comes to doing right by the land — and it's how we make wines we can all feel good about.
It's more work, but it's how we've always believed wine should be made.
